  • Average price for printing on to vinyl?

Posted by Jim Anderson on 25 April 2010 at 07:36

    Hi all,
Just a quick question to all…what is an average price i should be paying for printed vinyl?
I outsource printed vinyl from another company (can’t afford a printer just now) this is just printed onto white vinyl and used mainly for out side directory/estate agent signage, but i mentioned a price to a friend and he thought it was quite expensive. How would you guys charge someone? is it per job or do you charge per metre/feet?
I supply the artwork and advise size required, if this helps.

    thanks
    jim 😛

Jim, I negotiate a contract rate with my Estate Agents, but someone will always be cheaper. Your Friend sounds like the average consumer, they all think it ‘just comes from a printer’… how expensive can it be.

That said, outsourcing the printing, you are probably going to be dearer than someone with their printing inhouse. Charge what you need to charge to make a living. Trying to match or beat your opposition will not work if your overheads are higher than theirs.

    probably not very helpful,

Neil makes a good point though..
