    Help!
I had to replace the pump due to the original unit failing. Easy 15 min job!
Tried to print to find yellow ink was contaminated with magenta. Removed damper and drew the magenta/yellow through the yellow line and refitted damper. Went through head clean, did test print. No yellow printing at all, but magenta was fine!
I’m sure yellow is been drawn through the head during a clean, but the head isn’t firing for printing. Tried swapping ribbon cables over for magenta and yellow and have now taken fuse out on main board.
    Any ideas appreciated!

Have now sorted the fuse and back to CMK printing but no yellow! Can the head fail in this way??

afraid so, I had a new head fitted to a machine and had printed fine for setting up the alignment and had failed by the time got to run any job. Thankfully the machine was under warranty at the time.

It could be the damper that is faulty. Have you examined it to ensure it isn’t cracked. If you don’t have a spare perhaps you could switch it over with the magenta damper to see if the magenta ink then fails which would then prove the damper was the cause?

Fortunately a replacement damper is an easy fix

    Thanks for the comments.
Already swapped Y with M dampers and M printed Y until M side of head gave up too!
Is there any way I can check to prove it is the head and not a board issue?
