How to replace teflon cutting strip.. help please..
Hi – being fairly new to signmaking I need some advice on changing the teflon cutting strip.. I have a SeikiTech T720 cutter and have a new strip with double sided tape coming and don’t know how to fit it… I assume I just dig the worn one out and press in a new one with d/s tape? The strip has a clear tape covering it – can you tell me what to use here..

I have no idea of the machine mate, but its probably as you assume. Remove the old one, clean off any excess adhesive, then put the new one in the same place.
The clear tape should be on the new strip anyway. Rarely it will not come as a complete kit, unless you are buying a clone and not an original.

Hi Shane and Ian… thanks for your replies.. I’m actually getting the strip from SeikiTech in he States – I have sent an enquiry with my order but have not heard from them about the plain cover strip… Just have to wait till after Easter. They are normally slow at replying anyway so it may take a while!! Grr… Just concerned as no clear cover strip is shown in the pic on their order site.
