I have a 2 part question with regards to cutting long sheets which i have managed but wondering if there is a better way of doing.

I have a Roland versacamm machine and sometime when doing a print and cut job on a say 4 meter long vinyl. i print then cut the whole thing. The problem is if it miss aligns or during the speedy take up the vinyl gets jammed in the pinch rollers, i have to redo the entire prinitng process. Is there a safer way of doing this??

    Also :

after printing vehicle wrap graphics and laminating what procedure do people use to cut the margins??

    cheers

As regard to question about vehicle wrap cutting print..

As long as its printed to fit the vehicle ie tiles and its cut to the prints bleed then the fitter adjusts to suit.

    hope this makes sense…

Use Crop marks and do the print and cutting in two separate processes.

A lot of fiddling around making sure its straight. The intermediate crop mark features on the graphtecs etc make contour cutting really long graphics a breeze.
