    Hi all

I am trying to set up a pc 600 that has been sitting in the office for around 12 months. Dont know much about it it was given to me to try by a friend who had never used it with a view to buying it, I did have it printing when it first came but i have since got a new computer and am trying to set it up again. i have the driver installed however when i switch the machine on it alligns itself but the setup light continues to flash. Roland tech advised me about the temp of the room and have since got the room heated up with no success. I have a new sp540i coming in two weeks and really need the room so I would like to know what to do with it.

    Anyone any ideas ?

    Many Thanks

    Adam

Dump it – the 540 is like 10x cheaper to run and doesnt give hassles.. I have 2 PC600’s and a PC50 in our store room – I should dump mine too but havent the heart…havent used em since I got my Roland 540 about 5 yrs ago

Yeah I was thinking the same, might just stick it on flebay and see what I get for it could use the room. Above problem is now solved it seems to be printing quite well.

try adjusting the pinch rollers and ensure the room is at least 10.c

If the thing is working and in tip top condition , its fine , however head are a major issue with this machine as they get damaged or "blow" quite often and are expensive to replace. However the biggest issue is the cost to print , the price per sq m of full colour is horrendously expensive. The best way to use this machine is to make small decals or in our case we made badges and medal inserts and domed em .
