PC60 failure, all lights flashing – advice please?
Posted by James Whitaker on 9 March 2010 at 20:31Hi Everyone
Had a major problem today! my pc60 suddenly decided to stop working
All lights lit up and flashed – 5 times – then goes to CART2and PICE/ROLL
Only – solid light – then back to flashing all again. Nothing moves!!
Rang Roland who said they’d ring back in next ten hours! Problem being i’ve 2 rally cars and 2 containers to sticker up for end of week.
any knowledge of this probelm would be greatly received.
I’m thinking its a new cutter/printer!!!! Hoping its not just yet, many thanks

hi chris
Any ideas?? tried to find info on internet but nothing! Going to try roland again this morning.any ideas would be great!! was hoping to find a reset or something!
-
as you say mentioned but no fix (eeprom) =NG
remove front lower cover and see if its full of fluf dirt if so give it a good blow out.only thing i would do is ring KERRY spelling at camtec swansea, he was the engineer at rolands when pc60s were in there hay day.

Chris has supplied me with a few names which i am now following up.

James, Roland don’t really want to know about the pc60 as they stopped supporting it a while a go.

bit of an old dog i know. But been a really good machine. Time for new. Any ideas on a good machine for print/cut?? Going to be for vehicle liveries etc so would like something well upto the task. In the mean time i need this old lump to work.
One of Chris’s contacts looking into it and getting back today i hope.james

I’ve still got my pc60 here, needs a new head but otherwise its perfect, the running costs of the pc60 pretty much forced me to buy an inkjet, I bought a roland versacamm, been a brilliant bit of kit.

there you go james if your head is good then a swap over. 😉

Confirmed!! its pooped!! roland techie says the mainboard gone. So not much i can do with it. Will need to check out cutters etc…
will look at the versacamm.
