  • Corel X4 / Finecut problem

Have just developed a problem with X4 when sending through rasterlink to mimaki CJV30. Although the cut is perfectly registered in the file when I send to RL4 the the CJV cuts approx 10mm off in both X and Y axis.

I dont have this problems on other PCs so have eliminated a printer problem.

So far I have Restored the default X4 workspace, uninstalled and reinstalled finecut software and workspace icons, checked all options in finecut/rasterlink plug-in, rebooted everything.

Has anyone else had this problem or could give a clue where else to go?

    Thanks

    Colin

    Hello Colin,
I know exactly what this is because it happened to me.The layers in Coreldraw X4 have become unaligned.I reinstalled X4 to sort out the problem.

    Hi Andy

Thanks for replying. I tried everything else to no avail and eventually did a complete X4 reinstall and as you say it cured the fault. Still not sure what caused it although I do remember X4 falling over once when trying to send a complicated file to RL

I have had this same trouble with Corel 12 and X3 , Somebody that know why this occurs ?

In my case nothing would fix this, reinstalled both corel and finecut but same problem, Tried to cut trough Illustrator and this worked fine… I created a new user in windows and installed finecut , Now it cuts ok again

This has happened again on two different PCs and as you say, a complete reinstall has not solved the problem.

I will try a new user install to see if this cures the problem.

Has anyone attempted to install Rasterlink with Corel X5 yet?

    Thanks

X3 and text in a file… i transferred a corel x3 file between PC’s only to find that my cutter did cut the job around 10mm out for the text of the job.

Font issue… it was rotated 90degrees and one corel decided to output it differently then the other…. never had that before.
