Wright’s also makes their own lettering enamel, I tried it out at the Callendar meet.
I don’t use 1S as much anymore, I have had issues with it, especially the black and bright red.
I use Ronan when I can.
Isn’t there a really great sign paint in the UK called Kemp’s or Keep’s or something?
    Love….Jill

    Hi Jilly
Keeps paints went out of production quite a few years ago when their plant burnt down.
The formulations and product line have been taken up by Phil Speight at Craftmaster Plants in Stourbridge.
They have quite a wide range of the traditional lettering enamels, flat colours and coach painting enamels.
Phil is a painter so has useage as a priority rather than accountants concerned with the bottom line.
    Highly recommended

    Thanks for that, Hugh.
I wish he’d ship to the USA but I can imagine it would be expensive.

Thanks for the recommendations Andy & Hugh… i have now added both suppliers to the UKSB TOOLBAR and can be seen under "Traditional Signage".

Matty, would have done same for Cherwell but they dont appear to have a website.

Have you moved to Ireland Dave? MRCB in Cornmarket in Dublin used to keep it.
http://www.mrcb.ie Don’t see it on the website but might be worth an email.

I remember Keeps paint well, I used to use their lettering enamel as my first choice. It had plenty of body and good opacity although a little sticky to use on a hot day. I used to add a little black and blue to the white and it covered very well. I have good memories working with the brush but not when I was in a unlit, unheated barn in winter working on some clapped out Transit.

Thanks guys, I phoned Phil but they don’t do the grey I need so will try the others.

Yep Harry I moved to CoCork, but I have some jobs to do back in Scotland, so heading back next week, along with a few court visits still chasing money!

    Thanks again for your help.
