What wll be the best way to do 3 vans which i have?
I have a customer with 3 vehicles which need livery, in an area which is about 30 minutes away from me. is it better to do it at my base or would i do it on site??

we always do them at our place, just in case you overlooked something, of god forbid something creases.
Then at least you can re do it straight away, without having to come all the way back to the customers again.

if it were me I would fit on site, have done many more on site with no mistakes. If you had a problem 3o mins back to recut. Getting 3 vehicles on site and getting the drivers to turn up on time sometimes wastes more than this.

I have my first old creation p cut in the back of the van for on site jobs and my laptop, not the best cutter in the world but better than going back and forward, just do a re cut on site. No sure I would like to take my graphtec though.

RichYou have a good point Rich but we always like to do them at our place too just in case. We recently did 5 vehicles (at our place) and did have massive delays (they turned up over a 3 day period – 3 + 1 + 1) due to drivers not turning up – weather related etc – but we just billed them £200 for the wasted time as we put in the quote price based on getting vehicles at the same time.

fitting on site is not a problem and something we often do. but make sure you are charging for the traveling time because you have fuel, and you or your mens pay to cover for the 30 mins there and back. so add that to the initial quote… you must also make sure you are able to fit the vehicles inside. especially in this weather. i very seldom fit vehicles outside, only in extreme cases and if the weather is good with zero wind. even sunny hot days ill refuse to fit outside… as this plays havoc on the vinyls when being fitted.
if fitting on-site, you must also tell them they must have the vehicles cleaned. not just clean looking, but cleaned for you arriving. last thing you want is 3 vans to clean when you arrive. yes we always have to clean the panels down proerly prior to fitting but not with soap and water etc ..
