Hi guys , can anyone tell me what real difference there is between these twp machines?
Both seem to be available new, although i thought the ‘i’ superceeds the ‘v’

    thanks

The SP540V and SP540i aren’t the same machine.

The SP540i is basically the VP540 just slower.

…..The SP540i is basically the VP540 just slower. – but faster than the SP540v. Still just 2 heads on the 540i. I recall seeing graphs where the speed of the "i" is about 40 -50% faster than the older "v".

The "i" has got the new look (like VP, Versa Art etc) while the "v" still has the ‘old" (read: bulky) chassis.
