    Hi all

new to the forumz here n need some elp!

i’ve bee doin some vehicle wrapz and digital print work. I’ve a customer at the moment wanting a matt black wrap. I’ve had a good read at the posts as i aint done any matt wrapz as of yet. what i would like to know is what is a good matt black vehicle vinyl which is :

    1) finger print and scratch proof
    2) no need to laminate
    3) paint wont come off the car when the vinyl needs to be taken off a few years down the line.
    4) easy to handle
    5) will last a good 3 years.

All these concerns of mine have been raised by issues i have researched on matt black through this forum.

so far i am thinking of the avery, hexis, intercoat cast, 3m 85 and 900 matt black vinyls.

    Hope you can help

    Phil
    😉

    Hi Rob,

yes they do. Its a black matt vinyl which isnt specifically for vehicle wrapping but its a cast vinyl which i have been told is suitable for vehicle wrapping.

the reason i ask is because intercoat have been getting promoted by a supplier in the magazines for the all new wrapping "calendered vinyl" from Intercoat which, in a nutshell, is crap in my opinion! hense why i was wondering…

we have the biggest names in the industry STILL "trying" to perfect their purpose made wrapping cast films. and here comes along intercoat with the answer to everyones prayers in the form of a calendered vinyl
now that said, this might just be down to the way the supplier in question has been pushing it, by that i mean wrong/bad. but still, their guidense has to start some place and id "imagine" this to be from their supplier. i.e. intercoat.

maybe i am wrong, just my take on it mate…
