Problem with importing tiffs & jpegs
Posted by R.Lamerton on 29 November 2009 at 10:47Hi, everytime i import a tif or jpeg into signlab 8 i get a windows black then blue screen and crashes. The graphics card i have is a 512 nvidia 580.
I can import these files into windows paint jpegs etc but not signlab. Will import pdfs and psd’s though. Really stuck and cannot work this out? 🙁R.Lamerton replied 15 years, 11 months ago 3 Members · 11 Replies -

are you importing into an existing file or a new one?
is it all jpg’s or just a specific one?
If an existing file, try turning off instant replay, if it has to many steps, it can crash.
What build of signlab is it? (go to help, about press "r")Peter

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me, i have the latest update of Build 10 for Signlab 8 print & cut, the files i import are old files. Also i cannot import jpegs from my digital camera.

Yes, its a new computer system from dell with windows 7 on, Ive checked with cadlink and roland and they said there was no problems with what i am running. Even my laptop that has vista business on is fine with everything.
I am cutting and printing with Signlab 8 and also using versaworks with no problems atall. Just this odd one with importing jpegs or tiffs into signlab.
Cannot even open a cdl file with a jpeg within the work. -
did turning of instant replay do anything? I recall having a similar problem.
i dont run windows seven so cant help on that note

its options use instant replay.
it was a similar problem, so worth a try?

The problem seems to be with the appearance mode in windows 7, if you change to a NON Aero mode the problem will go away.
