  • Seeking a supplier of Glass Look Acrylic

Hi Guys and Gals… Hope this finds you all well .

We are working on a sign manufacturing project for a company through their architects in the USA. We have to make a lot of small signs using what the US architects call Glass Look Acrylic.

We produced a sample sign using 6mm Perspex which looked like glass to us (Clear face with green edges) but the architect says the Perspex product is TOO GREEN on the edge.

So, I’m looking for a clear acrylic that has a very light green ‘hue’ on the edge and it has to be available in 6mm or up to 10mm.

Lastly, before it’s recommended, I have checked on the toolbar and there doesn’t seem to be any suitable product available from the listed suppliers.

    Any recommendations would be appreciated.

    Cheers

    Martin

    Hi John

Thanks for the reply. I called into Robert Horne a couple of days ago to look through all of their swatches and they don’t have a suitable product. No stock held in either Ireland or UK they told me.

    Hi Ian

Thanks for the name, although I think there may only be one Perspex ‘Green Glass’ sheet which we have already used and it was rejected.

I’ll give them a buzz on Monday to see what else they have.

i am only aware of the glass edge one that i think u tested. To be honest, we love it and I think thats a R / Horne product.

Something I spied…. Click here http://www.perspex.co.uk/products/cast-acrylic and slide across to the Perspex occasional chair, thats quite light green? what do you think?

We use these. Especially the 3030 Green Edge stuff. Not sure how much of a pain to ship to UK from US it is though.
