Hi been asked to do some stickers for a company that i do there T shirts for. I was wondering if there is a small printer to do the job or just buy directly from a trade only supplier. They are 2 colours and about 200mmx 50mm

    Thanks
    Paul

How many are they looking to order ?

To get set up in printing, you really need a print and cut machine, something like the Roland SP300V would be a starting point.

Bad news is about the cheapest you will get the printer and other bits and bobs you need to run it is about £5000 – this will be for a used printer, which are a bit like rocking horse teeth as they dont come up for sale very often.

For a new printer would be around £8K inc VAT – add another £500 for a PC to run it ( really needs its own dedicated PC ).

So, unless they are looking to place a very big order, which will cover your buying costs of the equipment, it is probably much easier to sub out the job.

    Paul.

Why not look at an Edge?

They do pop up on Ebay quite often.
They may be old but for basic stickers they are great and you can also use metallic finishes that are not possible with ink
