hi robert,
cant see attached photos? have you done a test print? Are the ink cartridges installed in correct slots? has the pump been changed recently? have you performed a powerful head clean?Dan

how do i post a picture, and yes to all questions but no new pump

not sure if you can post pictures without joining? read board rules!
When you have done powerful head clean, then test print are the colours coming out wrong? has the machine been sitting for a while?
-
no, we use it every day, did a powerfull head clean and test print, my black is dark green and my magenta is a pale yellow
-
just tried a test print, a block that fades from black to magenta, the black printed ok, but no magenta at all
-
something like this happened to me a while back, and i was told it was the pump, i removed the tubes to the pump, inserted a syringe and sucked ink down the tubes. then ran powerful head cleans until problem resolved. It was the ink had dried up a little and was not flowing freely to the pump?? Call roland and see if they will give you a talk thorugh of the process, or they might offer different advice, sorry if not much help, but difficult to assess without photos!

thanks dan, this site won’t allow me to post any photos, robert

i’m pretty sure its the ink not getting to the pump! I think that black and magenta feed down one line and cyan and yellow down the other. when we did test prints we ended up with black but no magenta, powerful head cleans might do it but will waste ink, speak to roland to get run through? Out of interest how old is pump and has it ever been replaced? we needed new pump about two months after this problem occured!

On the OLDER pumps you had a connector that you un-twisted to screw onto a syringe (between the capping stations & the pump) to draw it through manually.
I kept this when I changed to the new pumps as it was so handy.
