Realistic printing expectations and Media query
Hi guys,
Were trying to print out some business card size labels with very fine text on them, even has .eps files they are coming out quite grainy and because the background is black with white text under an eyeglass it looks like it’s mis-registering if such a thing is possible? This is on an Orajet Vinyl. I’m using the specific Orajet profile for this media. I’ve switched to Uni-directional and this gives smoother results but they’re still mis-registering under an eyeglass.
Also for our general poster work we use BlueBack paper (120gsm) and it’s taking forever and a day to dry on high coverage areas even with all the dryers on and turned up. I’ve been using this machine for a few months now and I’m sure that earlier on the machine performed better than this. We’ve had a couple of engineer visits for various things and the machine recently (>1month ago) had a full service.
Is this machine "cut-out" excuse the pun, to do small work like this? I want to know whether were fighting something that will never work or whether it’s us/machine at fault!
I’ve recently attended the Walsall College Roland Academy course but there was very little covering troubleshooting! All files are set to High Quality from the RIP.
