What Software?
Hi Guys,
After some advice.
I’m making custom motocross graphics and want to take my designs to the next level. At the moment I’m using Corel Draw. Is something like Photoshop / Illustrator better for designing? . Or better for effects? Looking at designs like :

Or is it just my design capabilities that are letting me down?

coreldraw is up to making designs like that depending on your skills mate

Is Photoshop or Illustrator any better for this? I can’t see how they make these sort of designs in corel. Is there any Corel / Training DVDs? I really want to learn how to do this as I want to take my graphics business further.

sorry george is right , but i would use PS as well. for fades and other tricks.
remember you need to keep the main part as a vector for cutting.chris

i think all these softwares are more than capable of doing what you are after. some might have a more long winded way of doing it but the bottom line comes down to knowing how to use the software to its full potential.
i use signlab and photoshop… i dont venture on other software regardless…
personally, ide advise you to stick with what you know for now. thats unless there really is good reason to re-invest, learn etc -
OK. Now I no it’s basically my skills. Is there any Corel / training DVDs or Even a course that I can go on? As said before I really want to put the effort in so I can get better graphics in the end.
Also. Do you think alot of effects are bought from istockphoto etc? As how would you get paint effect in Corel.

i think there are tutorial sites on the UKSB TOOLBAR for corel… but a very good one, is linda.com

I may be wrong but I think the roland acadamy may also offer corel training.
