Contour Print Cut problem
I have Roland SP540V printer and run Flexi Expert. I have just installed a new computer running XP Pro. My old computer had the same system.
To get the contour cut on the old Pc the design was imported into Flexi the contour cut was applied and the design exported as an eps. it was then opened in Versaworks where the contour line appeared as the moving ants and the printer printed the design and cut the contour.
I do exactly the same on the new PC, but now when it is opened in Versaworks the moving ants only appear around some of the design and this is all the printer will cut. I’ve spent hours playing with it but can’t figure it out.
I have all the uprades for Versaworks in place.
Any suggestion appreciated.
Edit: Since I posted this I have hooked up the old system to see if I could use it for some work I have, however the problem is there now also, this would suggest to me that the problem lies in the printer.

I think the problem is more likely to lie with Flexi Expert on the new PC.
Try creating the file on your old PC (exporting the eps from there) – then open it up in versaworks on the new PC. If it works okay then this would indicate the problem lies with the way Flexi is set up on the new PC
Have you correctly assigned a colour for contour cutting? The help menu in Versaworks should tell you how to go about assigning a colour in your design software (in this case Flexi) to represent the cutting contour.

Kevin, the problem was fixed by changing the eps margin Thanks
We still have a few small problems but I’m being sent the latest VW version on disk to do a clean install, apparently things came get confused if you update the wrong way which is probably what I did
