Another vote for Edward Mathias, I think the service is great but like Chris says Harry does like to chat. Having said that the guy knows just about everything you will ever need to know about plotter blades and cutting different substrates.

I saw an advert on a sign magazine once. It read " TRY OUR BLADES FOR FREE". I spoke to Edward Mathias – this man really knew his stuff, he was very talkative and friendly.
I couple of days later I received a blade to try out. I was amazed by usage I got out of the blade. Another good thing was I didn’t need to adjust the amount of blade sticking out of the holder, it is already factory preset. The only thing you need to do is adjust the blade force.
The only inconvenience is that you need to exchange the old blade with the holder to receive new ones. (A minor price to pay for such quality).I have been using their blades on my two machines for the last six years
I have never bought another blade since.
Buy their blades – you’ll never look back!

couldn’t agree more, harry is very knowledgeable and helpful guy, hats off to him for the advice he gives.
i made the switch to them some years back, but i then stopped… there was a couple of reasons but mainly it was down to having to send the blades back before getting new ones. its not that big a deal i agree, but when you rely on staff remembering to do this "before" their blades go blunt it can become a nusence more than anything… i really prefer to just bin one and pop in a new one as and when needed. i switched to dave at Printone… they do a wide range of blades and only cost about £8.50 each and they are NOT resharpened blades. i may have got a couple of rogue blades too because a couple of times in a row the blades went blunt very quickly, whereas others lasted months. there wasn’t an increase, decrease in usage or damage to the blades either. so i just decided to switch out of convenience. -
