• CNC Router and Engraving

  Advice needed on a Turnkey CNC Machine Engraving Router?

  Im looking at buying a Turnkey CNC Machine Engraving Router supplied by Marchant Dice.

  I am complete beginner though I do know some basics about CNC.
  I will be wanting to engrave 316L stainless steel on watch case backs and will be designing and routing my own designed watch faces.

  Any one with any advice on this machine then I would be grateful to hear from you and what you think. Is it a good entry level machine ?

  Hi Carl

  Have you considered just diamond dragging the watch backs? This is fast, simple and virtually all engravers can do this. It then depends on the watch face material you wish to machine. I know of one guy cutting wax faces and cases for investment casting. Your requirement is for very fine work and I would strongly recommend obtaining a sample before you decide to purchase as I have not seen Marchant Dice used for this type of work.
