    Hi Dan

Not sure if I can help, but lets get the discussion going…

What mail program are you using?
Was it working recently and has now suddenly stopped?

I have the same problem, I just don’t bother using that one anymore.

    Can you send mail OK?

    Hi guys,
I am using mac mail, I can send no problem, as long as the content has been downloaded, otherwise a blank email appears. It has been working fine for four years? No new software installed or anything like that, very odd!!

    cheers

I’m struggling here Dan, but I’m wondering whether you have reached the limit on your server.

Try removing copies of mail from the server using the advanced tab in the accounts pane of Mail preferences.

If you set it to automatically remove copies from server after one month then, if that is the problem, it should never happen again.

Let me know how you get on.

Hi John, been there! In the advanced pane, it has always been set to remove after one week!! I think I will talk to the server owner and see if its anything their end! It has me baffled this one!

    Hi Dan

Yes – try your servers and also your internet service provider.

We had the same problem two years ago – our Mac supplier came out and said it must be the provider. At first they denied everything but after a few days admitted that their servers had been upgraded and weren’t Mac compatible anymore!

We switched to Microsoft Entourage for emalis and it has worked fine ever since.

Just thinking – do you use the automated ‘system updater’ on the Mac and could a recent update have caused issues between you and the provider?
