I have found out from a reliable source that its if you have your own Eye Candy plugins, signlab will not work. but its ok if just using the ones that come with signlab
Yes, I found out the hard way but luckily a windows restore got me up and running
If anyone else has the problem just remove the plugins from the folder,
and signlab will fire up, unfortunately you cannot then re-install eye candy,
perhaps Cadlink will fix the bug shortly, I would rather keep my plugins!

Hi, I’ve just updated both my work one and my laptop at home to build 9, both are fine but the one at work doesn’t like the network drive. It keeps saying wrong parameters…anyone had this?
I can still access the drive but with a bit of pursistance, local drives are ok.
Cadlink are baffled and are asking Canada office. 😕

    quote Peter Normington:

The most recent update does not work
and signlab will not restart after the update.

To return your compliment from the iPhone thread…..

You should run Illustrator on a Mac. 😛

    Hi Peter

I only have the standard Print & Cut version with no Eye Candy yet do you think it will be worth me upgrading Peter to the Build 9

Would you have a link as to what was changed in that build

    Thanks again M8

    Paul 🙂

    Paul
Its an update not an upgrade.
so you can go ahead and download the patch. if one is available for your version. It is only a problem if the full version of Eye Candy is installed.

Cadlink used to say what had changed or been fixed on their site but dont appear to do so anymore. I was told that the main improvement was the way signlab uses memory to draw bitmaps.

    Hi Peter

Yes I know it’s a update ad not a upgrade but was not sure as to what was changed within the program. If I log in I cant see any updates to download thats why I ask, I was having a problem with proofs to PDF’s at one point, and was not sure if this was my system or the program.

do you have a link for the dowload M8, I will have a look and see what my version number is.

    Thanks Again
    Paul 🙂
