    Hi,

I have downloaded a new font and installed it on Signlab but when i type, some of the letters/numbers are missing. I can only make them visible by choosing "show bitmap outlines" from the "view" menu.

When i cut, it also misses them out.
Can anyone help? Its a true type font called Corrado.

    Thanks.

can you post a picture of the font?
just did a search, its the vw corrado?
some fonts dont always relate to the keyboard, and can be in the form of a bitmaps
what do you see if you double click it in your font folder?
If its a bitmap you cant cut it

Hi peter, the Volksdevil.com in the below image is the Corrado font, and it is indeed for the Vw vehicle. 🙂 The image was made with photoshop, and the font seems to work fine with that 😕

When i double click it in my fonts folder i get the graphic showing all of the characters (letters/numbers etc)

"The quick brown fox jumps over lazy dog"

I downloaded it from http://www.xnology.com/ (Next to the yellow text)

Can you help Peter? I actually need it for an interior retrim project for some embroidery.

    Thanks, Neil.

    Hi
it seems as if the font is not that good. i got them to work by converting to outlines, un-compounding remove 1 set of shapes then re-compound. The letter will then show up as a solid letter instead of wire frame. It seems every letter or number with a center is like the above.
    Hope this helps.

Its like Kevin said, just a bad font
In signlab, after you have typed what you need you can convert to the text to graphic, and then break the path, you will then need to apply white to the centres of the letters and weld to make them a solid shape again.

Another little tip, in Signlab to view all the font characters, click the text button then right click text compose, this will bring up the font detective select your font and all the characters will show on your workspace.
