  Had a demo of the EGX-360 yesterday using a block of ColourRout & V-Carve the result was great.

  I have phoned Moran’s but they tell me they don’t stock it any longer.

  Does anyone know where I can source this product? or an alternarive?

  Hi Glyn

  You can make your own version of ColourRout very easily.

  There are many suppliers of veneered MDF sheeting. Try this link: http://www.cfanderson.co.uk/products/ra … F-Finaspan. Once you have engraved it, use a brush or sponge to apply normal DIY woodstain. The woodstain will wipe off the veneer and soak into the exposed MDF. The edges of the sawn panel can be stained in the same way.

  I too have used this product on our rotary engraver with really superb results. we were able to cut it in one pass and no additional finishing req.

  Moran’s used to supply cut to size pieces so if you only need a small bit it was great!
  Shame to hear its no longer available.
