******************Sorry I had to re list this one*******************

I have this problem time after time cutting lettering out on vinyl. The plotter runs well but after it has cut, I check the edges of the text that I have just plotted and they have a slight curve to the edges. Im using a block font (Impact) which has clear straight edges.

Can anyone tell me what settings I should input so I can save this information as I lost it THE last time I asked the forum!

you need to adjust the blade offset in the program menu, the cutting tip of the blade follows just behind the centre of the blade, too little offset and it cuts corners, too much and it’ll add a little pointy bit on the corner,

it varies from one blade / machine type to another, start on .20mm an test cut a square, the increase gradually until you have a square corner.

    Thanks Hugh

That has sorted the fine line cutting issue but I have one other problem on the cutting front. I don’t seem to be getting a great separation with the vinyl once the cutting has finished. I start the weeding process but It proves difficult to stop the cut artwork coming away from the backing. I can complete the process but its very slow and difficult.

    Any suggestions?

Have you tried increasing the cutting force? Not familiar with your cutter but there will be an option either on the cutter itself or in the software.

    quote Adrian Yeo:

Also check to see if the blade needs replacing.
