ct630 pressure setting query
Hi guys,
i was wondering if anyone can give me a bit of advice. My ct630 is cutting, but i have the pressure setting set to maximum (255) and it’s not cutting completely through the vinyl, i still have to cut some edges with my knife. Could this be a blunt blade or should i be looking else where?Many Thanks

Blunt blade, worn cutting strip or insufficient blade protrusion for starters………….

I would normally be looking at a third of the pressure say 85-110,
depending on the material your cutting.Check the blade and holder are set up correctly and if your still having problems change the blade for a new one.
Could of course be a worn cutting strip, has your plotter had much use?

hi guys, thanks for the fast replies, no it’s seen very little use. I’ve tried the blade screwed through fully, so I’m guessing I’ve got a dud blade.
My next question is where is the best place to get a good quality blade.

If it’s cutting most of the letters/graphics but just leaving bits in corners uncut then it may well be the blade offset that needs adjusting.

It does sound a bit like the offset is wrong, what software are you using?
Not sure where I got them from but Mimaki blades will fit a Pcut.
Just had a quick look on the internet and the UK signboards tool bar, several suppliers to choose from!John.

its actually everything that it isnt cutting. it nearly cuts it right through, but i still have to run the knife round the letters.
