hi all, just had three months practice on my cadet plus , done quite a few print jobs now with fantastic results, i am very happy at moment, but now want to start to cut printed graphics ect, 2 questions, the first is what are the most important points you could recommend before plotting for the first time, IE tips ect that will make easy cutting, i have only ever cut vinyl with my old trusty cx24 and know that inside out, secondly , is cutting with the cadet plus more complex and is it easy, my nervousness in using this part of the machine is purely my low knowledge of the machine abd i would really appreciate some sound advise on cutting presures and blades ect, sorry to sound a bit thick but i think reseach is important ,thanks in anticipation for time in replying

    Darren,

Firstly, what design software are you running. Is this all set up so the Cadet recognises the cut line as a cut and not as a printed line?

I found it was a bit of trial and error to get the set up I needed. For std vinyl, I use around 50g and 15-30 speed.

I print and cut a variety of stuff from normal vinyl to thick laminated jobs with no problems.
