  • Banners – Print or Vinyl?

    Hey

    I was wondering…
It works out cheaper and a lot faster for us to print a banner, than to use vinyl.
So what are the advantages of using vinyl on banners, over just printing them?

I’ll guess that vinyl is used because it would last longer…
But the ones we’ve supplied have been for events. So they only have a single use then get binned.
    So fading isn’t an issue.

    What’s everyone else’s opinion?

The only reason I would use vinyl over print would be if some details were to be changeable like dates, but if I had the option to print I would do this over vinyl every day of the week.

    Cheers

Signwriting is always another option and easy to change.

    Thanks for the replies.

We did a printed banner at xmas for a yearly event.
I gave them a sheet of vinyl cut numbers that matched the printed text so they could change the time and date each year.

Think I’ll drop the vinyl cut banners and stay with printed.
And just sub out the work if the customer asks for it.
