very old machine & not really suitable for modern Solvent / Eco-solvent inks although can be converted you could be asking for trouble. It was one of the machines that made the 1st steps in to solvent printing.

Actually Kevin I have one of the converted ones and it never misses a beat and produces first class prints, the only negative side is the slow printing but I am not a large company doing hundreds of metres a week.

Actually it might be the SC500 can’t remember now 😳

If it’s using Eco sol Max inks then the prints will be fine outdoors.
You may find you start to laminate any prints that are going to be used long term anyway so start looking for a laminator.

Craig, Try the Mimaki CJVs. They have 4 sizes to choose from 24" to 64" wide. You can also choose between 3 types of solvent inksets, Eco or full solvent.
