Too wrap or not to Wrap??
Hey guys, ive got a job in the next week or so, to put graphics on an artic lorry and trailer. Length 45ft x 8… Im not sure if i should get it printed in tiles (with the expensive option of laminate) or should i do in vinyl cut??? Would be a nice job to start my new Summa Cutter off 🙂 Iv not done one of these for myself yet.. any thoughts? Also, price for a trailer?? what is the norm (avg) 🙂 🙂 🙂

Cut vinyl, if you mess it up you can just re-cut.
Iv never priced for a trailer but I would say around the 2k mark, as said never priced for a trailer.
The other thing is have you got somewhere undercover to do it.

unless the trailer is yellow already, then a print is the only option,
laminate is a must, but most would use liquid laminate for this scale,
the checks would also be a pain to do in vinylprint would be far easier to apply and quicker

I agree that print would be easier to apply, but cut vinyl is certainly still a good option with not a huge amount of extra work.
Coat side panels in light green, coat centre in cream, apply rows of dark green squares then text and logo.
If you don’t have a printer I would use cut vinyl, would it not be more profitable?

We have this issue a lot of the time and genrally even though we have a printer we still decide to do cut vinyl. Reason being that one the job is more profitbale and like gavin said it doesnt take a lot longer to do.

if the graphics are exactly as shown, i would probably do it in cut vinyl.
would be cheaper and quicker to produce.
you could just take the cream and green directly from the roll and apply solid. the only cut vinyl would then be the logo and rows of the diamonds.
you wouldn’t laminate as its not a print and the job will last far longer.
the only thing i would suggest is consider using application tape on your panels also… depends on which vinyl your using but if its a cast series it will probably be pretty thin, so worth considering, but not essential. -
