  Gerber Plotters – How Much?

  Anyone know what I could expect to pay for either:

  Gerber GS15Plus

  or

  Gerber Envision

  Are there any good deals to be had in the current financial climate or are suppliers holding the prices on hardware?

  I may be wrong but I think spandex are the only uk supplier of gerber

  Hi John, hope all is well, I’d be surprised if you will see a secondhand useable one of these for sale, spandex are the boys for this one, a gsx will cost between £1600-£1800 +VAT and the envision will cost £3K +++ They are only useful with an Edge because they hold no other value when up against standard plotters.

  I think you’re right Peter, Spandex are the sole supply in the UK unfortunately!

  Yes Jason, the Gerber plotter is only useful with the Gerber printers. I had to return the one I had (GS15Plus) as the chap who was selling it to me had an unexpected job to do! I’m sure when the job is completed he’ll offer it back to me.

  Sod’s Law but the day after I despatched it to him I got an order for 3,000 labels and another for 60+ printed stickers!

  I’ve never used the optical feature of the Graphtec 5000 but it looks like I’ll be giving it a go!
