can someone help me to find a bernzomatic gas torch ts8000 in uk?!?!
in germany there´s no way…
i will be in birmingham from wednesday to friday this week, maybe theres a way to get some?regards…

have to ask oliver, is the gas torch your preference over an electric heat gun? if so, why?
just curious mate, i havent used the gas torch and cant see a reason why i would want to but maybe im missing the ovious other than possibley heat temp?

Is this them? If so you will find B&Q’s in every major city but I would imagine you may have trouble with customs.

it is perfect for post heating and some special parts. you can spare a lot of time.
for big surfaces are electric-heatguns the best choice.

if you re out on site with no power and need a bit of heat
instant heat (my electric heat gun take a little long to heat up)i only really use it if i have to. i do find it very Handy though
dose anyone know why they haven’t brought a battery powered heat gun out?
maybe battery life? i don’t know 😛

Better if you use propane instead of MAPP for vinyl.

i can see some benefits in having one, but general purpose honestly doubt ide ever use one. when the can is full i bet it weighs a bit. i don’t mean to just lift, i mean constantly waving it about as you do when wrapping trying to heat a large area of the vinyl. i recon you would feel it the next morning…
its also a at a crappy angle too… i don’t even like using my wand style laser temp gaug due to the angle i have to hold it, much prefer the gun type laser temp.
anyway, even for portable use, i don’t make a habit of fitting outside never mind remote locations. so even at that i doubt i would use one. -
I would agree Rob, wouldn’t wrap outside and if it was a case of doing large graphics over rivets or similar i choose a generator over a torch as you can work faster with a nice little heat gun

Cheap and cheerfull. Ideal for taking old lettering of exterior signs when electric is not available or not worth the hassle of cranking up the genny
