  • Should I get this printer?

    Hi all,

I been missing a lot since I’ve been working and studying this year like crazy.
I do mostly vinyl with plotter and small quantities silkscreen t-shirts.
The printed is done to us by another company, and I feel I’m ready to go ahead and expand to do it myself.
And, since this market is sooo small to suppliers for sign making(we barely have 3), and I have a limited budget, I had come to a printing machine: DGI VTII 160, 64" wide, using solvent ink, and according to supplier, it costs around U$0,80 per mt2 to print. Looking at specs it seems like a good machine for me 🙄
Now, does anyone have this machine or something similar that can let me know if there is any disadvantages with this one to look for?
    Appreciate any advice.

    Thank you,

    Patricia.

i have used this machine, one of the first wide format solvent printers i ever used, it is now however a old machine in standards which i am using and setting myself. quality would be ok but you could get a lot better quality for a machine around the same price, i know i dont know what your paying but if you keep looking you will find one with better quality and a good cost, best of luck with everything.

    Hi Celticfeet,

Thank you for your advice. Actually I have to consider that here prices are extremely more expensive than other countries, because of import and taxes. And in fact is the only machine in the market for sale! (besides hp which is not at my reach at all).
I’ll keep looking around and see!

    Thanks!

    Patricia.
