  hi, we use corel x3 and i have just come to use the pc and all of the colours in the objects properties pane appear to be very bright, however if i use corel 11 on the same pc the colours are normal.

  can anyone suggest what might have been done? or how to correct it?

  First thing is to check the colour manager and ensure settings are the same.

  this happens to me sometimes after opening a customers file.
  i use allans F8 on start up of corel to reset all the settings to as if you have just loaded it from the disks.

  hi, thanks for the help, not sure how…but it seems to be right again now.

  I checked the settings between the two programs and they were the same, tried changing a few settings in the colour management and it seems right again.

  I always find, working in between 12, X3, X4 that the colours vary, usually to do with settings in the palatte.
