  • GSP SPRINT PLOTTER DIRECT FROM PC? WILL IT WORK?

Posted by Karl Williams on 30 November 2008 at 21:33

I know when i used a Graphix 4b from a pc it had to run from an LMK module. Does anyone know if the plotter from the sprint will run direct from a pc or not?

    Cheers,
    Karl.

    Hello Chris,
Yes, the Advantage and Omega software will run it, But i’m not sure if I need and LMK module (adapter) to make it work. The Sprint was a stand alone unit before pc’s came out.

The computer and monitor in the pic are correct Chris but they were connected to a plotter. I’m trying to find a pic now.

now going back a very long time.
i think it was a sprint plotter was sent to me to try against some dos software. because of other software playing up.
end result was memory dodgy here ran DMPL on a serial cable to the old houston plotter pin outs.

so summa settings may work think they only had a serial connect.

forget all the above it was not one of these

talking of old plotters there is a houston dmp65 on duffbay looks in really good nick. that was my first roll feed plotter.

I’ve got one coming. Would be nice just to plug it in and play. But I don’t think that will happen cos it never does! 😕 😕 🙄
The other thing is I like a bit of nostalgia. These machines are what I trained on years ago.
