hello sign makers, i have to remove some perspex lettering from a upvc shop fascia board, i think it must be glued on although ive not taken a close look yet.
if it is glued on i was going to wedge it off with a hammer and flat screwdriver but does anyone have an better ideas?
ps ill add a photo soon – rob

I would imagine it would be on with VHB tape. You could try fishing wire down the back to slice through the tape then attempt to clean up the left overs. I think theres a very high chance you will damage the UPVC if you try to chisel it off as you suggest.

Why give yourself the grief just to save the customer from getting it done properly? It sounds simple but these things never are.

Tell the customer they need a new fascia.

If it is glued then it will almost certain have welded the two plastics togther so if you chisel them off you will no doubt take out big chunks from the fascia
Make sure the customer knows this before you start. I would tell him that if its glued then its a new fascia.
