How would you fit this?
Hi Guys
I have an enquiry to fit an advertising board to this railing into the middle section as shown. It has to be double sided too.
What material would be best (for 18 months) wet and windy conditions.
How would you fix it without drilling/damaging the railings?

i would use banner with bungees, so it gives in the wind 😀

Definitely my choice too. Need to be a good quality blockout banner though ….. 1000 denier at least.

Thanks guys but I forgot to mention they don’t want banners 😳 🙄
They want it to look better than banner so have asked me to advise on material and fitting. They will be up for 18 months and need to be kept looking good.
Karl they won’t let me drill in to the railing and need to fix it another way.
I was thinking of oversizing a dibond panel width ways with a square wrap around bracket and pop rivet it through the dibond on to the bracket (if you know what I mean)

I would use powder coated ally, for a good job, that will stay looking good, fix to the round bars using stainless pie clips rivited through the panel

Thats the way I would do it, because of the shape of the structure it wont slip so just oversive by an inch or 2, then get some steel box section to rivet both sides to and that should be fine.
I cant really explain it any better but I know what I mean lol

I would dibond it with VHB tape. You’ll need to repaint it afterwards.

VHB tape to the sides and white heavy duty cable tie in centre top and bottom.

Warren, VHB signfix rail to the the back and fix using a banding tool to the rail, remember to round the edges on the dibond so kids don’t cut themselves on its edges, better still use a powdercoated pan and fix using the same hidden principle

what about this idea? can you get these sort of brackets or would I have to get something made up? I would put some rubber between the bracket and rail to stop it scratching.
Not sure I want to have to repaint after removal of VHB tape.
just a thought! suggestions welcome.

Warren, give me a phone when you can, are they after permanent advertising or is this for use in port only. This looks more like a racing yacht therefore are they to be removed while in use?
You can get ‘P’ clips with integral rubber off the shelf in a plethora of sizes, most auto factors will stock them. Fittings WILL have to be A2 stainless as a minimum with a preference for A4. Aluminum and salt water don’t get on well together and the panels may start looking tatty before the 18 months are up…….stainless panels for longevity or 10mm foamex and replace a couple of times!!!!

The panels are for the walkway and will be used for advertising and they have requested for them to last 18 months. Once up they will remain there unchanged for the 18 months and then I presume replaced for new advertisers.
Do you know where I could get these "P" clips with rubber? Thanks for the tip regarding stainless steel grades.
I’ll give you a shout later as I have to shoot out quick.
