Can anyone help with vectorising settings please?

im helping a fellow uksb member with signlab 7, can anyone give me good settings for vectorising, it will save me time fiddling about with them, thanks 😀

it depends on the type of drwaing as to the best settings, but the pre-set ones are usually close enough, if you go onto cadlinks website there is a nice little vectoring demo (I think?) or sometimes it used to be on the program disc.Peter

Depends what you are vectorising – ie. how ropey the bitmap is.
For a good one – Tolerance 9 – Corners 7…everything else OFF
For iffy ones…Drop the tolerance…and start to use the speckle filter.
It’s more ‘feel’ than science.

thanks guys was just trying to save some time, being used to working on 4.95 all the years takes a bit of getting used to 7 😀

I have some avi videos on a cd that I was given when I got SL7,if you can’t find anything on the Cadlink site.Steve

I have only just got SL7 and trying to get my head around it before I go with SL8 Can the AVI’s still be downloaded from Cadlink, Cant seem to find them, or is it that now SL8 is out these have been deleted

I did log into that section for the help files but only now find most if not all are for the SL8 version and not my SL7 version
But even so it dose help to have the backup of Cadlink & my friends at uksignboards.com when do go wrong for me LOL.

Paul the tracing tutorial is right down the bottom, it is more streamlined and automated in SL 8 but the basics are what you need to know to get the best out of a trace
