perspex sign with standoffs
hi there
Just purchased a little sign making business in Isle of Wight, have been asked to make some room number signs on perspex about 15" by 10" where is the cheapest place to buy perspex panel cut and ready to vinyl and also where can I buy cheap satin 13mm x 19mm standoffs.

Cheap rarely means good….
I take it that it’s CLEAR acrylic you are after.
If it’s for a ‘hotel / office’ type affair – the edges will probably need polished of they will look terrible…and by terrible I mean "I’m not paying for them" sort of terrible.
Pretty much means you HAVE to buy CAST acrylic…
Most plastic suppliers will sell you sheet material pre-cut to size…very few will guarantee a clean, unchipped edge…even less will pre-polish them.
I know STOCKLINE Plastics will do it (cut & diamond polished) & ship them. Not really the cheapest in the world though until you get set up with a discount structure then they are pretty good on their prices.

quick reply, hope i have read this right…
cheapest option i know for this is to get a trade letter supplier to cut you the acrylic to the size you wish using a laser router. this will pollish the edge for you when cutting. it will also mean you dont have to buy a full sheet and be left with off-cuts. they will do all the donkey work for you and send you them cut and rilled to spec.
standoffs you will get the cheapest i know from i-spy trade.com ask for chris and tell him your after his 99p stand offs, very good value for money. he does the FULL range so give him a try…tarde router service, you could call fabricut, advert on the homepage.
