  • where can i source a spinning pavement sign please?

Had a request from a customer for what they have described is a spinning pavement sign. They described it as having a square (presumably water filled) base and the upper sign part rather than being flat is slightly curved into a subtle ‘s’ shape to aid spinning. Can anyone suggest a supplier for these so that we can apply vinyl to them.
    Thanks.

i might be wrong, but i think they are now banned. if not, then i definitely read they were trying to…
we sold a few many years ago. had heavy steel base and body. and spun on a sort of sealed bearing unit. well made and spin very fast in high winds. but that is the problem. they are weighted to prevent going over in the high wind, they spin fast, so it only takes a kid or elderly person to walk by and it clip them. you could easily brake something…

These can be described as ‘incredibly rare’ these days mainly due to the Health & Safety crowd. On a very windy day these have been know to julienne small children & dogs…as a result – I’ve not seen anywhere that sells them for a good few years.

Just had a quick look, and they are fitted with a speed limiter to prevent the slicing and dicing of children and small animals :lol1:
