    pantone to vinyl match help

    hi

    I have a job in that specifies a blue for its text and it only gives a pantone colour could someone out there tell me of a vinyl make and match to :- PANTONE 281

    i use imageperfect and metemark vinyls but neither have a blue close to the sample

    Nearest I can see is Mactac 9800 Ultramarine blue (macal9839-12). Not a perfect match, but they never are and also varies with what light you compare them under.

    I dont have a pantone book, i was told by a supplier that 3m will match pantone but will be a crazy price

    Try Sydney Beaumont Ltd (Leeds) 0113 2458729, they used to stock the Ritrama pantone range.
