Football Shirt Logo
Posted by Nick Walker on 11 September 2008 at 14:43Hi All
Some advice please as this isn’t something we do.
Is there a major problem weeding this logo in white to be pressed onto a red shirt? The supplier of my sons football club kits says its a major headache and the shirts won’t be ready for the games this weekend!
Appreciate your comments
Thanks Nick
PS Sorry I can’t seem to attach the file – help please Mods

I can probably help as I do lots of football kit printing.
What material and plotter are you using?Chris

Hi Chris
Sorry but I don’t know as the kit supplier is doing the shirts.
Thanks Nick

Is it the weeding or bleeding causing problems? I know one of the kit suppliers has changed subli set ups on their shirts this year and it’s causing havoc with with the sponsor prints and numbers being printed onto the shirts!!

Hi Steve
Thanks for your reply. It’s just weeding that appears to be the problem.
It doesn’t seem that bad to me but I can’t post a pic to show you!
Cheers Nick

Maybe they are just busy seeing as the seasons just started and trying to blag you. They should be able to print the whole strip within a couple of hours, (weeding included) I find it hard to believe that they couldn’t weed 13 small prints out before the weekend! Shame because I know from experience what a new kit means to young lads! hope you get it sorted soon!

Interesting Steve, I done some shirts the other day black and white stripes and they gassed off leaving black marks everywhere. I called the supplier who said they would wash out – nope

Its probably material incompatibility – We actually have stopped putting numbers on football tops because its a headache for us – sometimes it sticks sometimes it doesn’t but there always seems to be a problem for us too – suppliers of the materials don’t seem to be able to help either.

If they’ve promised them for the weekend then they should deliver their promise.
We will stay on late if we are running behind so that deadlines don’t get missed.

Chris yes it’s the striped kits which are causing all the aggro, Dont think i can mention supplier names in here but pm me if you need to know the only recommended material..What i will mention though is get yourself a bigger sheet of teflon paper….Well bigger than your heat press head as the ink is a pig to get off your press.
Nick i hope you got your kit sorted!!
