    Morning guys,

Ok this is the first time I am trying the print-cut then laminate-cut process on my SP-300v so I can create clear windows in some stickers I’m making. I’m using illustrator to create the artwork and cutting paths the save as eps and rip using versaworks.

What I have noticed is that Versaworks recognises the edges of the artwork as the document width rather than the actual canvas/document size of the eps file. This is creating a problem because the 2nd cutting path is wider than the first so Versaworks places it in the wrong place in relation to the crop marks from the initial print.

I have got round this by drawing a large invisible box around all of the artwork in illustartor so when i import the two files into Versaworks they are exactly the same width and everything the lines up.

I have to say – what a pain in the a**e!! Why cant versaworks just recognise the actual document width? Has anyone else had this problem or found a way to change the import settings or something?

    Many thanks, Owen

Simple. Save as a PDF. Not an EPS.
