  does anyone know whats gone wrong with corel please?

  Morning everyone …… typical Monday morning, i’ve got a ton of stuff to
  do and after a couple of years of Corel X3 working perfectly, i’ve tried to
  open the program this morning and it wont open.

  I get two error messages when it tries to open.

  First Message :

  Unable to create a DOM Document
  Class not registered
  Verify that MSXML4 is installed

  Second Message :

  Valid workspace file not found at
  the path specified

  Does anyone have any idea what’s gone wrong ???? 😕

  I’ve tried the ‘F8’ idea mentioned in another thread and it wont cure the problem.

  I had this problem once and found the answer on corel.com which was:-

  quote :

  You need to re-register msxml4.dll, see below:

  Click on Start -> Run
  Enter: regsvr32 /u msxml4.dll (this command line de-registers MSXML4.DLL)
  Now enter: regsvr32 msxml4.dll (DLL is re-registered)
  You should now be able to run CorelDRAW

  hmm. registering the xml part… interesting

  also as Alan said the other day… Corel X4 SP1 update is out!
