  • Is there anything that can be done to prevent condensation?

    Hi,

Have recently done some signs, with clip frames for posters etc – they are outside.

Client has mentioned that when they came to change poster there was plenty of condensation. Is there anything that can be done to prevent this?

    Any tips/clarification appreciated.

The only sure-fire way is to buy a waterproof frame…just add a ‘0’ to the cost of whatever you were paying for snap frames though!

Even waterproof cases will do this.

It depends on the direction they face, the ground underneath, the climate where you are.

No-one will be able to sell you something that this wont happen to, the best you can do is try to minimise it by using really good frames.

You could try using the gel bags that you get inside packaging… I think they’re silicone gel or something like that…Absorbs moisture.
