Depends if its new or not.
But basic procedure is
Car Wash
Tar Remover
Wash
Let it Dry
White Vinegar
Iso Prop Alcohol as the finalTend to want to leave the vehicle overnight after the washing to let the moisture out.

where can I get my hands on Iso Prop Alcohol??
cheers.

Your sign supplier should stock it. Down here its called Prep Vinyl.
It’s a fast evaporating solvent that doesn’t leave residue behind.
If I’m doing a box truck I just leave it at the vinegar. Its cheaper 🙂 and good with your chips.

Hi All
You can buy IPA in 25l bottles from a company called Litho Supplies. IPA is basically alcohol, a vast amount of litho printing presses use IPA mixed in with water and fount solution so you should be able to get it from any supplier to the litho printing industry. Look in your local yellow pages under printers supplies or click on the link below to find out if Litho Supplies covers your area. You should be looking at around £45 if my memory serves me right.
Cheers All

I use the new avery cleaner for the most part. Its a mixture of IPA and other cleaners. Brilliant stuff. Doesn’t dry as fast as IPA on its own, and smells better.

We also now use the Autoglym to remove any paint protection. We use this during the washing stage.
