I did this very basic design a few months ago before I got into Sign writing and printing full time. It was for my friends daughters new venture, he liked it so much he based all his flyer’s and menu’s around it, Ive got to be honest, I was slightly surprised as it was so very basic.

Anyway, I got the job to do the sign and today was fitting day.

    Be gentle! lol

Paul there is not a lot wrong with that it looks good, I would have made the line under the name the same length as the name, but as a first go not bad. was that fomex ? and I would also have made the sign the same length as the original Fascia

Good point about the text line under the main Shop name Lynn.

I used a folded ivory coloured dibond pan from Trade Supplies (im not at work so dont have the web address).

Ill be honest, the width of the pan was a bit of a c*ck up, I trusted the measurements of my friend and they were out by a bit, luckily the original fascia and the pan are almost identical so its not too bad.

You live and learn eh?. It was a good learning experience.

customer rulers have different numbers on them 😉
as lymn says might have tried rounded ends to the line as the font does not have a right angle in it.

    still looks good

A client of mine once said: Do you let anyone else do stuff with your wife?

Always measure yourself, its your work 😛

Nice work by the way you should be mighty pleased with that sign.

Minor niggles aside, I think you did a nice job. The layout is very tidy.
