who do i bend dibond?
Posted by Hugh Potter on 3 July 2008 at 19:17should be possible,
on a large bend it bends quite well,
http://www.uksignboards.com/viewtopic.p … ght=circusfor a smaller bend you might have to take it to a small metalwork shop and ask them to put it thru the rollers to give it the curve, 300mm isn’t much at all!
cheers.

Are you looking for a full circle or just a 90 or 180 degree bend?
and does it need to be dibond? What length do you need to bend?
Hugh is correct, it will roll, but hard to do at small radii
Could this do the job?Peter

Can’t you just drag your sheet of dibond to the nearest lampost and wrap it around that 😕

lol! it’s actually quite inflexible in small pieces (by hand), i’m looking to get one of those roller things for another little money making scheme i have in mind, the local metal works want’s £3 a pop to form some 1/2" reinforning rod (not inc in price) into a 3ft diameter and weld it, might as well get the roller and do it myself, cheap as chips if you can find the right auctions (i’m told!)

lol, i think phil is teasing!
too tight a bend might well cause that, though i have folded up scrap bits with no delamination, trial and error i’m afraid.

At a radius of 300mm (600mm dia.) I would expect dibond to bend quite easily. I have used dibond equivalent material as postclips (cut into 1 inch strips).
The lampost suggestion was not entirely tongue in cheek. Rightly or wrongly it’s what I would probably do using an offcut as an experiment to see if it would work.
