  Spot colours in shiraz

  Hi All,

  I’m having a nightmare with a pop up a client wants. The profiles are ones we always use. I’ve printed off old docs to see what the issue is. but they are fine.

  The client sent a pdf and AI and I’ve tried to convert into all manner of file formats. I does have a gradient embedded in it which I think may have a funny spot colour in.

  Any ideas.

  Using mimaki jv3 and shiraz.

  Hi Adam

  I had a similar problem the other week, trying to print direct from a customers file, they had specified a spot colour which was from the international marine paint colour chart!

  I had to reopen in illustrator, convert all colours to cmyk and then i saved the file as a very high resolution jpeg which was the only way i could get the file to print, it too had some gradients in it.

  I also run jv3 with shiraz, hope this helps.
