  Leister Hot Jet S Users? I need some help and tips please!

  Hey guys. I’m having problems getting my welded hems straight and consistent. I have a lester Hot Jet-S 120V portable welding tool.

  when welding the hems on the edges i tape the banner down on each side using masking tape to make it taught. then i get some thin scotch tape to temporarily tac down the fold i wish to make into a hem.

  with my welding tool set at Fan Speed 5 and Heat at 4 i wedge the tool’s funnel in the overlap of the hem and follow the roller right behind it. the temporary tacs melt off and they keep the hems straight most of the time. but when doing larger banners it eventually ends up crooked.

  i’ve been struggling with this setup for a week now. this is the method my distributor advised to me. is there anyone who can give me some advice or a much more simple or effective way of using this tool? i cant find much help or tutorials through leister.
